NBSP Offering Haunted Tours

This October, Natural Bridge State Park invites guests to experience the past in a unique way with a Haunted History Lantern Tour.

As darkness falls, visitors will join a park ranger on an interactive lantern-lit walk on Cedar Creek Trail, and along the way, they just may encounter ghosts and spirits of those who have left their mark on what is now Natural Bridge State Park, said a spokeswoman.

The tours will be held on Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25, with two tours each evening starting at 7 and 7:30. The tours will last about 1 hour and 15 minutes and begin at the visitor center.

Space is limited, so preregistration is required. To learn more or to reserve a spot, call (540) 254-0795.

Those attending should dress for the outdoors and wear comfortable walking shoes. There are 137 stairs to descend and climb as part of the program. If necessary, transportation to bypass the stairs can be pre-arranged when registering.
