Faith Baptist Church will have a Men’s Prayer Breakfast this morning at 8 and a Ladies Circle meeting on Oct. 14 at 10 a.m.

MidMountain is collecting physical donations for Appalachian regional climate disaster relief through Oct. 11 and during their inaugural MidMountain Fest on Oct. 12 at 338 Arnolds Valley Road. Mid-Mountain is seeking relief donations which will be given to existing Roanoke distribution points and directly to affected rural communities connected to MidMountain Fest performers; donations include essentials like water and nonperishable food, cleanup supplies and personal items.

MidMountain Fest on Oct. 12 will feature more than a dozen musical acts across two stages as well as featured vendors and workshops that will include a print-making station and art installations or presentations.

MidMountain Retreat’s grounds will be open to up to 200 ticketed visitors for the festival from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets begin at $40 for a carpool ticket or $50 with a reserved parking spot and there are a limited number of backstage passes available for an additional $100. Early bird “Murder of Crow” packages offer discounted access for four people with one parking spot and a goodie bag for $150.
