BRANDALL BRANCH

Brandall Branch is running for reelection for one of three seats on Glasgow’s Town Council. Branch ran as a write-in in the 2022 election and won his first term as councilman.

Branch had a desire to be of service to his community. His first few months were a learning experience, getting to know the people, and fellow Council members, and learning what it means to be a councilman.

With his current term of office coming to a close at the end of this year, he says he is “proud and honored to serve my community and home. It has been a pleasure to serve on Town Council with a dedicated group of people who love Glasgow as much as I do. It is not an easy job, but it is rewarding. If re-elected I look forward to working with our new town manager (Allyson Finchum) with her fresh ideas and enthusiasm to make Glasgow a wonderful place for all.”

Branch, an American Baptist minister, was born in Iowa to an Air Force family (Robert and Elizabeth Branch) whose roots were in Glasgow. He came to live in Glasgow from age 1 to 7 years olds, then moved with his family in his growing up years, returning to Glasgow during the summers and holidays. He later spent eight years in the Army Reserves as a medic, and moved permanently to Glasgow in 2019.

Branch, who has never married, lives with his widowed mother and is raising his 14-year-old great nephew. They currently attend St John’s Episcopal Church in Glasgow.
