Glasgow Public Library will present “Virginia’s Presidents: A History and Guide” with historian and author Heather S. Cole on Monday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m.
George Washington. Thomas Jefferson. James Madison. James Monroe. William Henry Harrison. John Tyler. Zachary Taylor. Woodrow Wilson. More U.S. presidents were born in Virginia than in any other state in the Union. Travel the state and visit the museums and historic homes that tell the stories of these eight men. From Mount Vernon, Monticello and Montpelier to the Wilson Presidential Library, read the stories of the sites that shaped the lives of presidents. Cole is a guide to the places they called home.
She is a writer and public historian living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. She has worked in a variety of museums and archives, including as an interpreter at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum in Staunton.
