Glasgow

Carolyn Bradley, 258-2720

Tis the season for not knowing what to wear. The mornings are so chilly and then summer arrives by afternoon. This is Virginia, if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute, it will change.

The cooler temps have us thinking about pumpkins, making s’mores over an open fire, pulling out fall and winter clothes, packing up the summers ones and football. It is also a time of fall festivals. I hope you have an opportunity to take in one or two of them. This past weekend was Mountain Days in Buena Vista. The weather started out chilly but warmed up quite comfortably. I had the privilege helping out with Mike’s Outdoor Decor and More. We appreciate all those who stopped by our tent and purchased a flag or two. Look for us on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Faith Mountain Baptist Church’s fall festival on Valley Pike Road from 1 to 5 p.m. I will also be offering some new paintings and a few sewing projects.

Local trunk-or-treat events will be held at Natural Bridge Christian Fellowship Church on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 27, and in Glasgow at the Locher Pavilion on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 3 to 5 p.m. Regular trick-or-treating in town will be on Halloween night Thursday, Oct. 31.
