There are lots of activities coming up in our area. Trick-ortreating will take place on Halloween night, Oct. 31. There will be a trunk-or-treat on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Locher Pavilion, 515 9th St. Bring a nonperishable food item to obtain a meal ticket for a hotdog and s’mores kit, while supplies last. Food donations benefit the local food pantry. Vehicles participating must be set up by 2:30, and there will be a prize for trunk decorations.

This is sponsored by the Glasgow Community Development Committee.

The Thompson Center in Glasgow will be the location of a Halloween party on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The cost for tickets is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Come in costume and enjoy some spooky treats and eerie fun. This is sponsored by the Concerned Citizens organization.

The Glasgow First Aid Crew will hold a fund-raising cakewalk at their building at 710 McCulloch St. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. Baked goods are needed and appreciated. The contact number is (540) 460-3352. Let’s support this worthy organization that faithfully serves our community The Farmers Market has closed for the season. All in all, it was a good year, with produce, crafts and baked goods. They appreciate the support from vendors and customers, and to the town of Glasgow for providing this nice facility for this effort.
