Oct. 28, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: Next Tuesday, I get the relief and privilege of voting for a president of these United States who has helped keep: - our health care and Social Security intact; - wages increasing; - the unemployment rate at its lowest figure in 54 years; - a dramatic recession at bay; - a bipartisan bill alive to deal with immigration; - bipartisanship in governing the country; - much needed infra-structure bills essential for our dangerously decaying bridges and transportation systems; - people aware of the world’s critical climate situation and supported policies to ameliorate this coming hell; Kamala Harris is also young and mentally acute enough to be president of these United States.
