City of Lexington Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday,November 7, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia,to solicit input on Ordinance 2024-09 amending the FY 2025 budget from $56,754,739 to $56,945,463. This ordinance proposes appropriating funds for two reimbursement grants awarded to the City, a Community Development Block Grant and one from Virginia Department of Transportation, as well as funding from the Commonwealth in support of the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act program. In addition, the ordinance proposes $23,333 for capital projects at HWES and LDMS and reallocating $33,550 from paving projects to traffic control development. Lastly, the Ordinance proposes appropriating an additional $30,000 to replace the backstop at Fox field. Copies of the Ordinances may be obtained from the City Manager’s Office in City Hall at 300 E. City of Lexington NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ORDINANCE ORD2024-10 CHANGING THE NAME OF THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LEXINGTON, VIRGINIA TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LEXINGTON, VIRGINIA The City Council of Lexington will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia,concerning Ordinance 2024-10. The proposed ordinance will change the name of the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Lexington, Virginia to the Economic Development Authority of the City of Lexington, Virginia. Citizen comments are welcome at the meeting or you may submit public comments in writing to the following email address: jhostetter@ lexingtonva.gov, by US Mail to City Manager’s Office, 300 East Washington Street, Lexington VA, 24450, or by leaving it in the City’s drop box at the rear of the building (facing the parking lot) and addressed to the City Manager’s Office. PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING November 12th 2024

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 , Section 15.2-1800, and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters. 1) Zoning Map Amendment, 486 S Magnolia Avenue. Map Amendment to rezone parcels 60-1—-1C and 61-1—-1C1 from Conservation (C1) zoning to Low Density Residential (R1) zoning in alignment with current use, which is single-family residential. No development is proposed at this time. 2) Zoning Map Amendment and Conditional Use Permit, 2500 block of Sycamore Avenue. Rezone parcels 27-1-26-19, 20, 21, and 23 (forming the southeast quadrant of the block) from R3 Residential Limited to R4 Medium Density Residential for the purpose of renovating an existing building into a four-family dwelling and constructing new townhouses and apartments.

The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12th 2024. Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that public hearings will be held by the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at or after 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following applications: 1) Jubilee Hill LLC, 15 Mossy Green Terrace, Lexington, Virginia 24450 has made an application for a zoning map amendment. The property is owned by Jubilee Hill LLC and is located on the eastside of N Lee Highway (Route 11), approximately 0.86 miles south of the intersection of N Lee Highway (Route 11) and Valley Pike (Route 645). The property is accessed by Park Place (private road) and is identified as 40 Park Place, Lexington, Virginia 24450. The property is further identified as tax map number 62-4-1C7 (3.088 ac. per tax records). The property is currently located in the General Business (B-1) Zoning District. The application is to rezone the property to the Agricultural Transitional (A-T) Zoning District. The property is in the South River Magisterial District. 2) Jubilee Hill LLC, 15 Mossy Green Terrace, Lexington, Virginia 24450 has made an application for a Special Exception Permit to continue the use of the property for a private school. The property is owned by Jubilee Hill LLC and is located on the eastside of N Lee Highway (Route 11), approximately 0.86 miles south of the intersection of N Lee Highway (Route 11) and Valley Pike (Route 645). The property is accessed by Park Place (private road) and is identified as 40 Park Place, Lexington, Virginia 24450. The property is currently in the General Business (B-1) Zoning District, with a pending zoning map amendment application to rezone the property to the Agricultural Transitional (A-T) Zoning District.
