CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING APPLICATIONS BY THE CITY OF LEXINGTON REQUESTING THAT:A) THE ZONING MAP BE AMENDED TO REZONE THE CITY OWNED PARCELS ASSOCIATED WITH EVERGREEN AND OAK GROVE CEMETERIES, AND B) CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS BE ISSUED TO ALLOW CEMETERY USE ON ALL LAND ASSOCIATED WITH EVERGREEN AND OAK GROVE CEMETERIES.

A public hearing will be conducted by Lexington City Council at a meeting to begin at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to present their views in response to applications by the City of Lexington requesting the following: A) That the Zoning Map be amended to rezone: 1) that 1.855 acres portion of Evergreen Cemetery (TM #25-1-9)purchased by the City in January 2023 and currently zoned R-1; and 2) that 0.445 acres portion of Oak Grove Cemetery (TM #23-1-160) immediately adjacent to the rear property lines of 14 Houston Street and 16 Houston Street and currently zoned R-1. The request is to rezone both properties to the P-OS (Parks and Open Space District) zoning district; and B) That Conditional Use Permits be issued to allow Cemetery use on all land associated with Evergreen Cemetery (TM #25-1-9) and Oak Grove Cemetery (TM #23-1160 and TM #29-1-30).

A copy of the applications, case numbers RZ 2024-01, RZ 202402, CUP 2024-06 and CUP 202407 are available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street.

City of Lexington NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ORDINANCE ORD2024-10 CHANGING THE NAME OF THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LEXINGTON, VIRGINIA TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LEXINGTON, VIRGINIA The City Council of Lexington will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia,concerning Ordinance 2024-10. The proposed ordinance will change the name of the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Lexington, Virginia to the Economic Development Authority of the City of Lexington, Virginia.

Citizen comments are welcome at the meeting or you may submit public comments in writing to the following email address: jhostetter@ lexingtonva.gov, by US Mail to City Manager’s Office, 300 East Washington Street, Lexington VA, 24450, or by leaving it in the City’s drop box at the rear of the building (facing the parking lot) and addressed to the City Manager’s Office. City of Lexington Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday,November 7, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia,to solicit input on Ordinance 202409 amending the FY 2025 budget from $56,754,739 to $56,945,463. This ordinance proposes appropriating funds for two reimbursement grants awarded to the City, a Community Development Block Grant and one from Virginia Department of Transportation, as well as funding from the Commonwealth in support of the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act program. In addition, the ordinance proposes $23,333 for capital projects at HWES and LDMS and reallocating $33,550 from paving projects to traffic control development. Lastly, the Ordinance proposes appropriating an additional $30,000 to replace the backstop at Fox field. Copies of the Ordinances may be obtained from the City Manager’s Office in City Hall at 300 E. Washington Street.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that a public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on Monday, November 25, 2024, at or after 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following application: 1) Warm Run Solar, LLC, 107 5th Street, Charlottesville Virginia, 22902 has made an application for a Special Exception Permit to develop a 3.00-MW (AC) solar project (public utility). The property is owned by Robert F. Huffman, Trustee, 1318 Mount Atlas Road, Lexington Virginia, 24450 and is identified as tax map number 62-12-B1 (56.00 ac. per tax records). The property is located on the east side of Lincoln Road (Rt. 763) approximately 0.52 miles south of the intersection of Lincoln Road and N. Lee Highway (Rt.11). Access to the proposed solar project is from Warm Run Road (Rt. 788). The property is in the Agricultural Transitional (A-T) Zoning District. Per section 603B.03-14 of the Regulations, Public Utilities are a use by special exception in the A-T District.

PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING November 12th 2024

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 , Section 15.21800, and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Zoning Map Amendment, 486 S Magnolia Avenue. Map Amendment to rezone parcels 60-1—-1C and 61-1—-1C1 from Conservation (C1) zoning to Low Density Residential (R1) zoning in alignment with current use, which is single-family residential. No development is proposed at this time.

2) Zoning Map Amendment and Conditional Use Permit, 2500 block of Sycamore Avenue. Rezone parcels 27-1-26-19, 20, 21, and 23 (forming the southeast quadrant of the block) from R3 Residential Limited to R4 Medium Density Residential for the purpose of renovating an existing building into a four-family dwelling and constructing new townhouses and apartments.
