Happy birthday wishes are being sent to Grace Smith (my greatgranddaughter), Ethan Fitzgerald, Brian Fitzgerald, Valerie Ritter, Trina Topping Hodgson and Alan Fitzgerald. Happy anniversary wishes to Ray and Gwen Kimble and Darrin and Isha Grant. Better health prayers for Becky Hite who was in the hospital last week. Sympathy is extended to the family and friends Mary Frances “Fran” McNemar, Francis Wendell Burke and Ruth Cox. I met Ruth and her husband, Carl, at Emory United Methodist Church. They were great down-to-earth people.

The Vesuvius Holiday Xpress will take place Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The bazaar will be held at the Vesuvius Community Association building at 53 Tye Pine Ave. Breakfast with sausage and chip beef gravy and biscuits will be available. Lunch will be hotdogs, chips and a drink. Please come out and shop and support your local crafters and businesses.

I am hoping everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Students enjoy your break from school. I will be in Texas having my first turkey cooked on a pellet grill. Should be interesting yet tasty! I pray blessings for everyone this time of the year.
