The children at the Rockbridge Area YMCA Early Learning Center enjoyed a week full of Halloween-themed activities at the end of October. Spirit days for everyone to participate in included Cowboy and Farm Animal Day, which warranted a visit from a special farm guest – a small calf. Trunk-or-treating was made possible by community supporters including retired teachers, a Rockbridge County School Board member and the YMCA’s very own pirate, Tommy Miller. Dr. Hull and Dr. Dubit’s office, as well as the USDA office, also welcomed the little ones for trick or treating. For any family interested, the early learning center currently does have space available. The center, at 40 Magnolia Square just north of Lexington, can be reached at (540)-461-8720.
