Seven Parry McCluer High School volleyball players received all-district honors last week.
Three Fighting Blues were named to the all-district first team: senior setter Natalie Mohler, junior middle hitter Kadence Zollman and sophomore setter Keely Mahaffey. Blues named to the all-district second team were senior defensive specialist Logan Vest and senior middle hitter Peira Conner. Two PM outside hitters received honorable mention honors, junior Allie Cullen and sophomore Emory Slagle.
The Blues went 15-12 under third-year head coach Jessie Moala, going 6-4 in the Pioneer District. As the third seed in the district tournament, the Blues won their first district title since 2005, coming back from two sets down in the finals to earn a 3-2 road win over top seed Narrows. The Blues concluded their season with a 3-0 home loss to Grayson County in the Region 1C quarterfinals on Monday of last week.
