NCAA Field Hockey Final Four At W&L

Washington and Lee University is set to play host for the final two rounds of the 2024 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championships at W&L Turf Field on Friday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 24.

This event marks the fourth time W&L has had the honor of playing host for the national championships for Division III field hockey, having previously hosted in 2005, 2014, and 2015.

The W&L Turf Field, home to the Generals’ field hockey program, underwent a major upgrade over the past two summers, with a newly installed AstroTurf12 water-based playing surface in 2023 and a modernized NEVCO scoreboard with graphics capability added in 2024.

Throughout its history, W&L Turf Field has played host for three championship weekends, with Salisbury University, the College of New Jersey, and Middlebury College winning titles in past tournaments held at the venue. W&L is proud to once again bring the nation’s top Division III field hockey teams and fans to Lexington, showcasing not only exceptional field hockey but the campus and scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.

The 2024 championship weekend will include two semifinal matches on Friday (noon and 3 p.m.), Nov. 22, and the national championship game at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 providing a thrilling experience for student-athletes, fans, and the local community. W&L looks forward to celebrating this championship event and continuing its tradition of excellence in collegiate athletics.

The 2024 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Selection Show is set to air on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 9:30 p.m., on NCAA. com. A link to the show will be featured on the NCAA.com homepage, where 28 teams will eagerly await to hear their names called for a chance to compete for the national title in Lexington.
