Rachel Clark, (630) 607-9938 [email protected]

The adult Sunday school class at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church began a new study on the minor prophets this week. We will spend a couple of weeks on each of the minor prophets, and all are welcome to come learn with us. Thank you to the choir and praise team for providing special music for Sunday’s worship service.

The Men’s Breakfast and Bible study meets on Wednesday mornings at Sweet Treats at 7 a.m. They have just started studying the book of Jonah. Advent Wreath Making will be held this Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at church. Wreath forms are available to all who have signed up ‒ please bring greens to share! Our Thanksgiving service will be held this Sunday, Nov. 24, at 6 p.m.

Advent begins on Dec. 1. The Clark Christmas Open House will be Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. at 59 Hall Circle. Bring a friend or neighbor and come enjoy fellowship and cookies!

The Lunch Bunch will meet at New Monmouth on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at noon. Please RSVP to Rachel so they have enough for all who are coming.

The Christmas Cantata is Sunday, Dec. 15, during the 11 a.m. service, with a reception to follow.

Christmas caroling and a cookie exchange will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. We will once again do a “pop up” nativity, and this year it will take place on Sunday, Dec. 22, during the 11 a.m. worship service. Everyone is welcome to grab one of the costumes (Hope Bird will help) and come forward during the reading of the nativity story.

The Christmas Eve candlelight service is Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m.
