DAR, SAR Chapters Host Veterans Meal

On Nov. 11, the Natural Bridge Frontier Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the local chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution hosted a luncheon for veterans at which Kenneth Brow was also honored for his many years of service as treasurer of the SAR Chapter.

In addition, Melissa Davis, the director of Library and Archives of the George C. Marshall Foundation, spoke to the group. Davis, a master storyteller, gave attendees a personal introduction to George C. Marshall through pictures and stories about his life and service to our country. While often remembered for his formulation and administration of the Marshall Plan, Marshall’s mastery of logistics and strategy, recognized by General Pershing in France in during World War I, provided invaluable assistance to the country in the ensuing World War II and the Korean War.
