Although it’s been dependent on the donations of generous benefactors since its founding 14 years ago, The Community Table is launching its first official fundraising campaign this month.
Donors are encouraged to sponsor a meal or make a recurring donation. There are also options for those who want to make more substantial donations. “A contribution of just $10 a month can help build the community that they serve,” said a spokesperson. “We depend on the generosity of our local community, grants and donations to keep cooking.”
Businesses, organizations and individuals can take part. To become a donor, visit the website, www.communitytablerockbridge. org/support, or mail a check directly to The Community Table, P.O. Box 1543, Lexington, VA 24450.
The Community Table, an independent, nondenominational 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is a United Way-approved agency that works in close association with local governments and social service organizations.
