Brrr! Ever felt like a grumpy old bear? That’s the way I’m feeling lately with this cold weather moving in, and I just want to hibernate until spring, but I don’t want to miss Christmas, so I’ll just hang around till January and see what happens.

Speaking of Christmas, it’s almost time for the annual Christmas parade scheduled for this Saturday at 4 p.m. The theme is “Tell The Story.” The grand marshal will be our Town Manager, Allyson Finchum.

Everyone is aware of the lack of mail service in our town due to a lack of personnel. Postal employees from other areas have come to fill in as best they can, and we appreciate their efforts. Mail was delivered yesterday, Sunday. Some folks have had to go in person to the post office and ask for their mail. The clerk on duty was there to fill in, keep the service open, and could only do so much. Concern can be sent by letter to Congressman Ben Cline at 10 Franklin Road, SE, Roanoke, VA 22802.
