Nov. 27, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: If freedom of association is to be considered our natural condition, then is freedom from association also our natural condition?
This election was, in large part, about social engineering, DEI, LGBTQA, who gets to live in America, along with the intentions expressed in the party platforms. Those issues took a whipping by the majority of voters across the geography of America (now mostly red).
Trump gained votes in every subcategory voting block except Black women. He won all battleground states. For a guy with a quarter-dozen criminal prosecutions, a reputation for cracking on women, using mild profanity among born-again Christians ... a billionaire lacking the personal experience of “us common folk with credit card debt” ...
This election was not about Trump, it was about how more than half the people are. Alexander Hamilton once remarked: “... you let the people vote and ... (you will) ... get exactly the government you deserve.” DON HENKE Goshen
