‘The Grinch Is Working Hard To Steal History’

Dec. 6, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: Like Beverly Tucker, past president of the Historic Lexington Foundation, I too am concerned about historic Lexington.

All we have to do is look at the city of Charlottesville. They became woke and did away with their history, taking down monuments, street signs of Lewis and Clark, Gen. Robert E. Lee, and I am sure they will get around to Thomas Jefferson, Gen. George R. Clark and what they trade for - crime, shootings, gangs and murder. If you watch Channel 29 nearly every night there is a crime reported.

You might ask, what does that have to do with Lexington?

Well, hasn’t Lexington done the same?

What do we have in common with Charlottesville - Democrat control of city government (group think).
