Weaving Exhibit ‘Well Done’

Dec. 9, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: As busy as one is this time of year, please consider visiting the current RHS’s exhibit on Historic Weaving in the Rockbridge area.

I popped in Sunday to the Campbell House and thoroughly enjoyed Frances Richardson’s presentation and explanation of the making of specific weaving patterns and how important this was to local families in Kerrs Creek, Brownsburg and other small surrounding communities. The historic blankets and cloths on view are a testimony to the talents of Rockbridge families of old. The exhibit and presentation runs through the end of the December.
