During the past couple weeks, the lame duck President Biden has issued a sweeping pardon to his son Hunter which critics say serves to cover up the president’s involvement in his family’s questionable foreign dealings.
Biden’s role in his son and brother’s overseas activities spurred an impeachment inquiry against Joe and illegal foreign lobbying claims against his brother and son, in addition to the tax fraud and gun charges against Hunter. It is probably safe to predict Biden will also grant similar pardons to his brother and others before leaving office.
The pardon has even Democrats blasting it as one of worst pardons in history and unprecedented in its scope. Biden had long assured the American people he would not pardon Hunter but went back on his word and granted him federal legal immunity for any and all crimes he has been charged with but also included immunity for any known or unknown crimes committed in an 11-year window from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 1, 2024!
After the pardon, Biden was off to Angola where he pledged a billion dollars to Africa to help their economies and disaster relief as news at home tells how Americans are suffering and questions about whether that billion should have been spent domestically.
More than a month after the Sept. 27 Hurricane Helene devastated communities in the southeastern states, and particularly hard-hit North Carolina where towns as of this writing are still without water, power, infrastructure, or even schools being opened.
Many residents report they still have not been contacted by FEMA representatives, and aid to the victims has been slow in coming. FEMA’s response to the disaster has been shameful. FEMA claims it has a shortfall of money for this emergency.
FEMA promised on Thanksgiving, a month after the flooding and wind damage in North Carolina, that they would have 103 travel trailers and manufactured homes to the state within a week. They actually only delivered 27 housing units that week. As of Dec. 4, they had only delivered 46 units!
By Wednesday, Dec. 4, FEMA had still only delivered 46 homes well short of the number of promised temporary homes! FEMA has approved such units for over 500 families, leaving hundreds of families trying to get by as snow and freezing temperatures a re reported. F EMA officials claim 100 more units are now being inspected prior to being transported to needed locations.
Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas told victims of the hurricane that FEMA would be sending Helene victims $750 checks to finish off the just $10 million left in the FEMA budget to help hurricane survivors buy groceries. He asked Congress to provide the agency additional funding.
Mayorkas failed to mention that $641 million of FEMA funds had been diverted to provide transportation, cell phones, lodging and other aid to the millions of illegal immigrants that were pouring into the country under the Biden open border policies.
In Florida, a FEMA official put out a directive for FEMA workers not to stop at any damaged properties have Trump election signs.
Going into this holiday season, the Biden administration has failed the people of North Carolina and the need is great. If you can afford it, consider a donation to the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Samaritan’s Purse, or other charity or church sponsored efforts to help our neighboring state residents.
In the last days of the Biden administration, in addition to pardoning his son, he has made it easier for more illegals to come into the country and seems determined to spend every unspent dollar in the budget before Trump comes into office, ignoring the $37 trillion national deb, a debt that requires over a trillion dollar annually to pay the interest on this debt — more than the country has spent for national defense!
Yes, January 20 can’t come soon enough for Americans wanting to cut government wasteful spending, return to energy independence, and to end the open border policies and to begin to remove the migrants in the country illegally, first targeting the removal of gang members, terrorists, and illegals that have committed serious crimes and present a threat to the country.
Polls show a vast majority of Republicans, Democrats and Independents think the country has been on the wrong track and a majority of voters have voted for a change in the November election for president. The question, for your consideration, remains how much more misguided policies will be continued or added in the little over a month before the new president can take office.
The Biden administration announced it is loaning $6.6 billion to Rivian Automotive, makers of an electric-vehicle, that is facing charges of defrauding investors. The stock traded Illinois makers of electric cars and pickups that sell for about $100,000 had put on hold a plan to build a second plant in Georgia as a means of cutting costs as they were laying off workers.
“Rivian has been losing billions and may or may not be in business in the future,” said Frank Lasee, president of Truth and Energy in Climate, noting this example of corporate welfare.
