Please say special prayers for Becky Hite as it seems now that the medicine she has been on for several years is having an adverse effect on her.

Santa made a special impromptu visit to Gerties on Saturday, Dec. 14. With all the buzz about sleigh rides being held there, he figured he would join in the fun. Boy, I have to say that it has been some cold weather in Vesuvius. Plus Sunday there was some sleet in the mix. But I do believe it’s to be warmer this week. When you read this Wednesday, it will be one week until Christmas. So tonight, Dec. 18, there will be a special service at 6:30 at Vesuvius Baptist Church celebrating Jesus Christ’s birth, continuing into Sunday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. Come and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Also don’t forget Santa will meet you at the Raphine post office near the tree at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Christmas Eve.

I will be on vacation the week of Christmas, so I pray you all will be sharing this day with family and friends. I would like to say thank you for allowing me to write the happenings in Vesuvius. Merry CHRISTmas everyone and may God richly bless you in the new 2025!
