St John’s Episcopal Church is having a Community Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols at 4 p.m. This will be a musical celebration with refreshments to follow.

Glasgow Baptist Church invites the community to join them for a candlelight service on Christmas Eve at 5:30 p.m.

The current Dollar General store on Blueridge Road has closed to make the final transition to the new Dollar General Market on Va. 130, scheduled to open Thursday, Dec. 19.

Be sure to go see the Festival of Trees at Natural Bridge State Park in the gift shopvisitor center between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Dec. 31. There are about 30 trees on display. To vote for your favorite, place non perishable canned goods underneath the tree of your choice. You may also bring items such as paper towels, trash bags, wash cloths, body wash, soap, etc. Items collected will be donated to the Natural Bridge-Glasgow food pantry and Project Horizon. You can also purchase a ballot at the front counter to vote for your favorite.
