Vision Board Workshop Planned At Library

Area residents are invited to create a vision board and get inspired at the Rockbridge Regional Library in Lexington on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. with facilitator Laveeta Branche.

Through the use of printed words and images, Branche will guide participants to create a tool to help imagine and manifest a positive future. Placed where it will be seen frequently, a vision board is a reminder of intentions that serves to inspire a person to make his or her goals and dreams become reality.

Branche, a former Miss Rockbridge County and a Miss Virginia contestant, survived domestic violence and subsequently created her own inspired future. She is the author of a memoir, “Metamorphosis Interrupted: A journey of loving yourself from Beauty to Battered to Beloved,” and the founder of AbsolutelyAmazingYou, an organization to celebrate, encourage, support and uplift women. She currently lives in Atlanta, Ga. Registration by Jan. 3 is required. To register, email [email protected] or call (540) 463-4324, ext. 114.
