About Christ Not Being In Christmas

Dec. 16, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: Ms. Clements [in her letter last week] is making a mountain out of a mole hill. She seems to be upset that Christ is being removed from Christmas. Christ will always be in Christmas in her home and place of worship; where Christ will not be present is in the public square.

I can image how upset Ms. Clements would be if they were denied to worship Christ in the church of their choice.

I am sure those who are not Christian don’t need to be reminded we are in Christmas season as it rubbed in their nose every time they walk into Wal-Mart, Target, or Kroger - just to mention a few of the many commercial establishments raking in the riches off the holiday season.

If Ms. Clements wants to put Christ back into society, she needs to worship in the church of her choice and to love her neighbor.

Before anyone gets their panties all knotted up, I am a Christian and attend the Episcopal Church — although there are some who believe Episcopalians aren’t Christians. I will save that for another letter. HANK FORESMAN Fishersville
