A student at Maury River Middle School gets his blood pressure and blood oxygen levels measured by a nursing student on Dec. 4 at Maury River’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Fair. The upcoming opening of the Rockbridge Innovation Center at the high school provides “the perfect opportunity to reintroduce the event,” which hasn’t been held since before Covid, according to Director of Technology and CTE Paige Owens. “For the eighth-graders, it offered a chance to engage with different CTE pathways and meet RCHS instructors, providing insight into the various opportunities available as they begin to consider which programs they may pursue in high school,” said Owens.
