Lots of toys were donated to Glasgow’s Toys for Tots campaign. Beginning at 9 a.m. on the 19th, several folks were getting an early start at picking out toys for their little ones. Several volunteers were on hand to assist the shoppers. Any toys left over will be donated to families in Tennessee who were affected by the hurricane earlier this year.

Everyone is excited for the opening of the new Dollar General Market, just in time for Christmas.

Two churches in town will be observing Christmas with a candlelight service on Christmas Eve. St John’s Episcopal will begin at 4 p.m. with lessons and carols, followed with refreshments. Glasgow Baptist will begin their service at 5:30. The community is invited to join one or the other, or try to take in both.
