Children Share Their Holiday Thoughts
Merry Christmas Eve and Hanukkah eve everyone.
Welcome to our 2024 annual children’s holiday writings project. As we have done since the 1980s, we’ve asked different questions of students in our local elementary schools to get them thinking of not only Santa and presents, but what Christmas and the holidays are really all about. And this gives us adults, particularly those of us with grown kids or without kids, a glimpse into the minds of our little ones.
As you will see once again, presents may be important to them, but so are such things as spending more time with their families and showing them love. And, boy, these children aren’t shy about expressing their love, as you will read.
We hope you will enjoy this sampling of their writings as much as we have here at the office.
We’d like to thank the principals, teachers, staff and students at Fairfield, Kling, Natural Bridge, Central and Mountain View elementary schools for participating in this year’s project.
And we wish everyone a wonderful holiday season. - Darryl Woodson
