During Christmas, I like to drink hot cocoa after I have been outside in the cold. The next thing I like to do is go sledding on a gigantic hill. Me and my brothers go super fast down it, but when it’s time to go back up, we go really slow. Then after we are done sledding we usually make a snowman. We make the snowman really big and tall. Another one of my favorite things about Christ is that my cousins come over for Christmas. We have so much fun we don’t even go outside. We also eat a big dinner with them at our house. My birthday is also before Christmas, we go down to the Natural Bridge and roast marshmallows. The last thing I will tell you about is on Christmas morning we open our gifts and play with the. That’s what I like to do during Christmas time.
Kayla Fourth grade, NBE When it’s Christmastime, I like to go take pictures with Santa! When we go to take pictures with Santa, we always go to Valley View Mall in Roanoke. We also love going to see Christmas lights. We actually walk under the lights. After we get finished with the lights, they give you hot cocoa to warm up! You even get to write a letter to Santa! It’s sooo much fun! Also, every year you get about two weeks off from school for Christmas break. I love Christmas break so much because you get to make crafts, bake cookies and even put up our Christmas tree! I love Christmas time so much! There is so many fun things to do! Kenzley Fourth grade, NBE On Christmas day I like to open my presents first thing in the morning. Second, I see if Santa ate all the cookies. , page B7 During Christmas I like to wake up my sisters and see the joy on their faces. I love to see all of my family, it is really big. I also wake up super early so I can watch the sunrise. It is so pretty. After we open all of our presents, we all go to my grandparents’ house and eat a very big breakfast. Then, later in the day if it snows, I will ask my mom and dad if we can all go outside and enjoy the snow. After all, shouldn’t we all enjoy Christmas? It only comes around once a year.
Cora Fourth grade, NBE During Christmas, I like to spend time with my family. Opening gifts is fun with my family. I like to play with my toys. Having Christmas dinner with everyone is one of my favorite traditions. Having my aunt in for Christmas is so great because I don’t get to see her often. Christmastime is so much fun!
