The Christmas Eve candlelight communion service at High Bridge Presbyterian Church was well attended. There were several guests from out of town visiting different families.

The second chili challenge will take place on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 5 p.m. at host church Beth Horon United Methodist Church. Come join the fun and fellowship! Last year we had approximately 50 attending from six different churches! Who will take home the coveted Golden Spoon Award and bragging rights this year? Don’t make chili? Sides and desserts are welcome!

On Sunday, Dec. 12, High Bridge will host installation and orientation of our new officers. After worship, the session and the deacons will have a joint meeting.

The evening circle met this past Tuesday with Garnett Teass. Dwinnie Shafer led the Bible study.

The afternoon circle meets Tuesday, Jan. 14, with Carol Tolley at 1 p.m.

Wayne Lee and Annette Hickman hosted their annual Fainter/Hickman Christmas Eve dinner at home with several families attending.

Weekday Religious Education meets Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. at Beth Horon United Methodist Church. They will be working on plans for the upcoming year. All supporting churches should attend this meeting. Any interested guests are welcome.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry would like to thank everyone for all of the nonperishable goods generously donated at the Festival of Trees held at the Natural Bridge State Park this past Christmas season; and thanks to all the helpers who packed and delivered those boxes to the pantry. Thanks also to all the volunteers who helped the food pantry in various ways throughout the past year. The food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, and close at 11 a.m. The High Bridge congregation is collecting boxed macaroni and cheese for the food pantry during the month of January.
