Deana Lee Bohanan Foster gained her wings on Feb. 12, 2023, after 95 amazing years.
Deana was born in Talihina, Okla., on Sept. 22, 1927, to Elsie Bohanan (mother) and David Bohanan (father).
She was preceded in death by first husband Frank Beguin, second husband Silas “Mike” Foster, sons Michael Foster and Lonnie Foster, daughter Davina Foster, sisters Inola Walker, DavieMae Russell, Helen McDaniel, Dorothy Black, and grandson Ray Williams Jr.
She is survived by her brother Robert Bohanan (Pam) of Florida; sister Joanne Dillon of California; daughters Selma Beguin, Frankie Williams (Ray), and Phyllis Campbell; grandchildren Scott Foster (Angel), Davina Campbell (Chris), Jollette Williams (Robert), Dani Broughman (Teague), Robin Williams (Hope), Michael Foster (Bridgett), and Greg Theimer; 21 greatgrandchildren, and 12 greatgreat- grandchildren; adopted daughter Elizabeth Hupert; adopted granddaughter Nikita Foster; special friend Lou Foster; and brother/sister-inlaw, Fennie and Shirley Foster. She also had many nieces and nephews.
Deana loved her family, her Native American culture, beading, and dancing. She touched many lives with her kindness, and wisdom, and was an amazing Mom!
A service was provided by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory on Feb. 20 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum. Family and friends were invited to the Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department Founders Room after the service.
