The pond along Raphine Road at McCormick’s Farm was mostly frozen over by this past Sunday evening, except for some open water on one side that was being enjoyed by some ducks and watched over by a heron. As the photographer got a little closer, the ducks flew off in the late afternoon sun. (Mary Woodson photos)
