Carolyn Terrell, (540) 649-3828/ [email protected] Hello from Port Isabel, Texas. A big shout out to my neighbors for making this trip possible and those who are feeding my cats and house sitting. I am having a great time here. The last time I was here was in 2006. Oh, my gosh, how everything has changed. I rode by where I thought my friend lived three times. Finally, I called and asked for them to stand in the road so I could see them. It worked. One of the things I like here is they have curb/bike lanes that are the same size as driving lanes. That’s so you can back out of driveway and get into curb lane and wait until traffic gets by before pulling out.
Now onto community news. Happy birthday wishes are being sent to Sherri Smith and Gratia Bobbit. Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Timothy Hite Weeks. Better health prayers for Jessica (Jacob) Waymack. She had surgery this week. From my understanding this is a serious situation. Keep Jacob and children in prayer. Also pray for a friend of mine, Tim Gutshall. He is in hospice care with only 9 percent of his heart working.
