Although attendance was down due to the threat of bad weather, over 200 participated in the annual Lee-Jackson Day events on Saturday. Among the scenes at the memorial ceremony at Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson’s gravesite were (at right) Brandon Dorsey, commander of the Stonewall Brigade of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, saluting after laying a wreath; (below) Tony Griffin, lieutenant commander- in-chief of the SVC from Suffolk, speaking; Luke McDonald, commander of the Gordonsville Grays, SCV, playing bagpipes; and (below left) members of the Black Rose Society laying roses in honor of the deceased.
