Buena Vista

The Buena Vista School Board held its annual reorganizational meeting on Jan. 9. Teresa Ellison will continue as the chair of the board, while Lisa Kerr is the vice chair. Sandra Mohler is the School Board clerk, with Jason Wheeler as deputy clerk.

The policy committee will consist of Lisa Kerr, John Roberts and Roy Mohler, while the finance committee will consist of Wayne Flint, John Rice and Paula Charlton. The facilities committee names as its members Wayne Flint and John Roberts, with Lisa Kerr as a substitute.

School Board meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of the month, at 6 p.m., at the Ramsey Center in Buena Vista. Finance committee meetings will be held on the Tuesday prior to the School Board meetings, with policy committee meetings on the Monday prior, as needed.

Teresa Ellison is the Governor’s School representative, and she and Lisa Kerr are the Virginia School Board Association delegates.
