In the only local rivalry dual this season, the Rockbridge County High School wrestling team defeated Parry McCluer 45-34 on Saturday at PM.
Both teams also wrestled Lord Botetourt and Staunton. For those results and a full story and photos from the meet, please see our Jan. 29 newspaper. There will also be a story and photos on the Wildcats going 3-0 against Valley District rivals on Wednesday at RC.
For their final home competition of the season, the Fighting Blues will play host to George Wythe on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Before the meet, the Blues will honor their three seniors: Jackson Brockenbrough, Junior Convers and Cyler Driscoll.
The Wildcats will face district competition in duals at East Rockingham on Wednesday at 6 p.m. before taking on district rival Rocktown on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Washington and Lee University’s Doremus Gym.
