BV Indictments Returned

The following individuals were indicted by a Buena Vista Grand Jury on Jan. 22: Wayne Lamarr Poindexter, 44, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug and one count of possession of a firearm by a non-violent felon within 10 years of conviction on Aug. 25, 2024.

Thomas Jeffrey Higgins II, 43, for two counts of possession of a schedule I or II drug and one count of possession of a firearm with a schedule I or II drug on Sept. 8, 2024.

Paul William Tobias, 44, for two counts of aggravated sexual battery on April 24 and April 25, 2024, and one count of aggravated sexual battery between Nov. 1 and Dec. 22, 2023.

Tiffany Nicole Smith, 32, for one count of eluding police on July 10, 2023.

David Eugene Patterson Jr., 28, for one count of eluding police on July 13, 2024.
