Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that public hearings will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following applications: 1. Nicholas and Bethany Iocco, 1372 Raphine Road, Raphine, Virginia 24472 have made an application to amend a condition associated with the types of breeds associated with a previously approved Special Exception Permit for a commercial kennel. The property (1492 Raphine Road, Raphine, Virginia) is on the south side of Raphine Road (Route 606), approximately 0.39 miles west of the intersection of Raphine Road (Route 606) and Ridge Road (Route 613) and is further identified as tax map number 27-A-23B. The property is located in the Agricultural and General Use (A-2) Zoning District. Per section 603.035 of the Regulations, a commercial kennel is a use by special exception in the A-2 District. The existing special exception permit, and associated conditions were approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 23, 2022. The property is in the Walkers Creek Magisterial District.

County of Rockbridge, Virginia, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) to modify Section 605 (General Business District B-1), Section 605.03 (Special Exceptions) of the Regulations to provide for the use of a private school as a use by special exception in the B-1 Zoning District. CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW AN APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW 120 S. MAIN STREET TO BE USED AS A DAY CARE CENTER
A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington Planning Commission at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to a Conditional Use Permit application submitted by Misty Camden. The application is a request for a Conditional Use Permit that would allow a portion of Lexington Presbyterian Church located at 120 S. Main Street (Tax Map # 23-1-180) to be used as a day care center.
A copy of the application, case number CUP 2025-02 is available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LEXINGTON, VIRGINIA
Notice is hereby given that on February 20, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard, the City Council of the City of Lexington, Virginia (the “City”) will hold a public hearing to receive public comment and to consider the adoption of a proposed resolution authorizing the issuance by the City of general obligation public improvement bonds in an estimated maximum amount of $23,000,000 in one or more series (the “Bonds”). The City proposes to issue the Bonds and use the proceeds of the Bonds to(a) finance the costs of general capital improvements, including but not limited to (i) the construction, renovation, and equipping of the City Hall, (ii) acquisition, construction, and equipping of facilities for regional social services, (iii) acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, upgrading, and equipping of the City’s water, wastewater, and/or stormwater management systems and related facilities, and (b) pay costs in connection with issuing the Bonds (together, the “Project”).
The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be held before the City Council in the Board Meeting Room, 1st Floor of the Rockbridge County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450. Any interested person may appear at the hearing and may present their views, subject to the rules of the City Council. A copy of the proposed Resolution may be obtained in the City Manager’s Office.
