Track Meet Rescheduled

Because of inclement weather, the Valley District indoor track and field meet that was scheduled for last Saturday was postponed to this Saturday at Edward S. Long Jr. Track at Rockingham County’s new recreation center facility in Rockingham Park at the Crossroads in Penn Laird. Rockbridge County High School athletes will compete in the meet, starting at 11 a.m.

Athletes will attempt to qualify for the Region 3C meet, which has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 22, also at Edward S. Long Track. One RC athlete, freshman Ariana Mitchell, has already qualified for the Class 3 state meet by clearing 5 feet in the high jump in the first meet of the season in December.
