Both the Parry McCluer High School girls and boys basketball teams won their Pioneer District semifinal games on Tuesday night in Buena Vista. The second-seeded PM girls (17-4 overall, 6-2 district) earned a 35-26 win over third-seeded Eastern Montgomery (4-17, 3-5), and the PM boys (17-4, 9-0), the top seed, cruised to a 72-35 victory over fourth-seeded Highland County (13-8, 5-5).
The Fighting Blues will face Narrows in the district finals on Friday, with the girls tipping off at 6 p.m. at Narrows and the boys playing at 7:30 p.m. at PM. See the full stories and photos from the district tournaments in our Feb. 26 newspaper.
