Visitors at High Bridge Presbyterian Church a couple weeks ago were Brian and the Rev. Janet Chisom of Salem. Rev. Chisom is the former associate pastor at Salem Presbyterian Church.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Leon Saunders who passed away recently after a stay in Havenwood Assisted Living. Leon was an alumnus of Natural Bridge High School.
We were saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Trussell, husband of Doris Tolley Trussell, of Natural Bridge Station. His service was held on Feb. 14, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Fairfax. Interment was in Charlestown, W.Va. Doris was a member of High Bridge Presbyterian Church and my classmate at NBHS.
The food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, and close at 11 a.m. If the schools are closed due to weather, the pantry will open on Saturday instead. The High Bridge congregation is collecting canned tuna and salmon for the food pantry during the month of February.
