The Chanoyu Tea Society at Washington and Lee University will host a women’s and girls’ day tea on March 8 in the Japanese tearoom on W&L’s campus. Sweets and matcha tea will be served, and there will be a narrated tea demonstration.
There will be three 30-minute sessions at 1, 1:45 and 2:30 p.m. Registration is required, and those interested should fill out a separate registration entry for each member of the attendee’s party. Since seating is limited to 20 participants per session and there is no automated waitlist, registrants are asked to cancel their reservations if their plans change.
