The Virginia Safari Park will open for the season on Saturday, March 8, barring inclement weather.
“We always look forward to welcoming visitors back to the Virginia Safari Park, but especially this year as we celebrate our 25th anniversary,” said Rick Mogensen, park director. “The park first opened its gates on March 5, 2000, and we’ve been one of Virginia’s most popular destinations ever since.”
The Virginia Safari Park, meanwhile, has once again been nominated as one of the top safari parks in the United States in the 2025 USA TODAY 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards.
