Feb. 28, 2025 Editor, The News Gazette: Anyone who contacted Ben Cline with their concerns about what is happening in our country may have gotten an email asking if you agree with the Biden administration’s unfair ban on certain water heaters. He’s concerned because it’s “driving up costs for consumers, especially seniors and low-income families.”
Is he joking? He just voted to financially and physically hurt seniors and low-income families by taking away food stamps, SNAP, school lunches and health care. What he’s not concerned about is felon Trump ignoring court orders, siding with Russia claiming Ukraine started the war and firing federal workers at the VA who care for our veterans, veterans who fought for your right to exist. Felon 47 really has a hold on him and every other spineless Republican who cower in their boots and agree with every unabashed lie to come out of his mouth.
If the goal was really to cut waste they’d go after the pharmaceutical companies, the oil and gas industry and all the billionaires who do not pay their fair share of taxes, instead of seniors and low-income families he pretends to care about, when he is looking for reasons to bash Biden policies.
The answer is yes, they should be banned because they emit dangerous exhaust fumes and burn fossil fuels which are heating our planet. Climate change deniers, like the felon, will disagree. MARY DANKS Lexington
