New Members Named To LPD Advisory Board

Lexington Police Chief Angela Greene has announced the appointment of three new members to the Police Chief’s Advisory Board. These new appointees will join seven existing members, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the board, she said. The new members will serve through the end of 2026.

The newest board members, representing both city residents and collegiate voices from Virginia Military Institute, are George M. Brooke IV, Steven Landgraf and Mark H. Reed.

The board members were carefully selected for their diverse backgrounds, innovative thinking, and genuine commitment to fostering a safer, more inclusive community for all residents of the city of Lexington, said Greene.

The advisory board plays a vital role in supporting the Lexington Police Department by addressing modern challenges impacting both the community and the department, she continued. The board provides the chief with community input and recommendations on key topics such as police-community relations, public awareness of services and programs, community policing strategies, racial equity, use-of-force policies, mental health response, crime trends, and operational transparency.
