Rachel Clark, (630) 607-9938 [email protected] Thank you to all who participated in the “Once Upon a Parable” musical at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on Sunday. Many children and adults worked together to make the musical happen, and they shared the good news about Jesus’ upside down Kingdom. A huge thanks to Laura Hotinger and Karen Duff for working with the kids over the last few months. The congregation celebrated a job well done with a reception after the service.

Bible study will gather on Wednesday at 5:15 at church.

Rockbridge County High School will present “Legally Blonde Jr. The Musical” on March 20, 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door. Check out the special entertainment during intermission in the high school commons! You won’t want to miss the music provided by “Legally Jazz” (Calvin Clark, Thomas Ayoub-Winder, Tristan Ripani, Edison Rahl, Aiden Gist, and Cordelia Clark).

The Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club met at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on Feb. 18. Ivan Branch presented the following club members with perfect attendance certificates: Deb Jarrett, two years; Steve Donald, five years; Christy Harris and Laura Hotinger, six years; Vicki Hodges, Tim Hodges, Rosanne Mackey, Sarah Burleson, Roger Williamson, seven years; Reid Mackey, nine years; Janet Drake and Rene Hasey, 16 years; Felicia Bush, 18 years; Ray Burner, 19 years; Richard Hasey, 20 years; John Burleson, 24 years; Bill Jenkins and Julie Hotinger Crowder, 28 years; Dianne Swink, 31 years; Gary Swink, 47 years; Wayne Spencer, 50 years; and Ivan Branch, 55 years.

Several members made chili for the chili cook-off and Jan Perkins and John Burleson tied for second and Rob Wiley came in first place with the best-tasting chili. He was awarded a chef’s hat, apron and medallion along with the trophy of the can of chili and glass bowl.

Trash pickup will take place on Saturday, March 22. Meet at the Kerrs Creek Recyling Center at 8:30. The golf tournament will be Friday, June 13. The March club meeting will be held at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m.
