So nice to finally see some warmer weather in our area. Spring officially arrives March 20, and the spring f lowers are pushing up through the ground.
The Community Development Committee needed to postpone its last meeting, and it is now scheduled for March 24. Upcoming events will be the Rocking the Gorge music concerts scheduled for June 28 with Southpaw, Aug. 2, with Little Marvin and the Martians, and the Late Night Stumblers will finish out the season on Sept. 6.
The Spring Vendor Event at the Farmers’ Market is scheduled for Saturday, May 3. This is open to all crafters, artisans, bakers, food vendors and vendors with Tupperware, Scensy, Avon, church groups, etc. Emails were sent out this past week to previous vendors. Harry Wright is recuperating at home after being a patient in a Richmond hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.
