Rockbridge County High School will induct its second Athletic Hall of Fame class this Saturday, Sept. 23. The latest hall class of seven new members will be inducted at the RC gym Saturday. The induction ceremony will follow a banquet that starts at 6 p.m. The inductees, selected by a committee after nominations have been received, are football players Andy Cline (Class of 1994) and Michael Burant (2000), baseball player Greg Stubblefield (1996), girls lacrosse player Kelly Evans (2003), girls basketball player Katie Flint (2006), golfer Peter Shaner (2014) and RC head golf coach David Miller, who has also coached tennis, football and basketball. Boys basketball player Jeffrey Early (2008) was also selected for the hall, but Early will defer his induction to 2024 so that his family can attend the ceremony. The inductees will be honored at halftime of the Wildcats’ home football game against Broadway on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Tickets for the Saturday banquet are on sale at the high school for $35 each.
