Born Dec. 17, 1939, in Lexington, he was a son of the late George Everett Petty and Radie Montgomery Petty.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Faith Hostetter Petty; brother Don Montgomery; and sister Bobbie Sibold.

Surviving are his daughters, Debbie (Dale), Nancy (Wayne), and Sheryl; and a son, Jamie (Stacy); grandchildren Michelle (Jeff), Caleb, Nolan, Hailey, Ethan, Karlee and Landon; and great-granddaughters Kamryn and Kristin.

Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman and loved his grandkids.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. NG
