Also she enjoyed reading, interior decorating, gardening and politics. The central and most important part of Nancy's life was her Christian faith. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, where she was active in Altar Guild and Episcopal Church Women. Earlier, she had served on Altar Guild and on the Vestry at her church in Berryville.

A graveside service will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery on Tuesday, May 7, at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals, Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington, VA, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and Beacon Place Hospice, 2502 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
